The Chamber Staff

Business of the Year – Recognizes a business which stands out among peers in the business community as a leading organization both in its approach to business and in service to the community. Recipient should demonstrate excellence in overall business operation, including customer service, employee development/relations, site aesthetics, marketing, integrity, innovation and community contribution. Recipient must be a member in good standing of the Henry County Chamber of Commerce and operational for a minimum of three years.

The Billy Carter Public Service Award – Recipient must serve in an elected, appointed or employed public position; award based primarily on services and benefits rendered to other people and to the community as a whole – beyond excellence in one’s own position. Recipient must have compiled an extraordinary record of public service in Henry County. Lifetime accomplishments considered with particular emphasis on the last five years.

Volunteer of the Year – Recognizes an outstanding person who has given significantly of his or her time and expertise to the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. Recipient must be recognized as a role model for other volunteers, having made a marked improvement to the Chamber as a result of their volunteer effort

The Citizen of the Year Award – Recognizes many years of unselfish service to Henry County, above and beyond excellence in one’s own profession, business, service or enterprise. Recipient must be of the highest moral and ethical character, well respected in the community, and outstanding in his or her commitment and dedication to improving the quality of life for Henry County citizens.

Through our efforts in membership, economic development, and advocacy, we create the environment to help our members prosper and succeed through a proactive working partnership with all levels of government and community organizations to achieve a strong local economy and high quality of life.

 

Each year the Henry County Chamber of Commerce recognizes excellence by presenting awards to recipients chosen for their exemplary leadership and dedication to improving our community.

51st Annual Chamber Meeting & Awards Dinner!

Awards will be presented at the Henry County Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet & Awards Dinner on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Eagle’s Landing Country Club. Award winners will be selected from a list of nominees distributed to former award recipients. Final award recipients will be confirmed by the Chamber Executive Committee.
